Esta ha sido la última ilustración para la columna "El último domingo" de Vila-Matas en la sección "Escrituras" de El País Cataluña.
Seguro podéis adiviniar el porqué: recortes.
Que tristeza.
Pero que gusto ha sido ilustrarle.
Al ver el conjunto, he tenido la sensación de que era un algo orgánico, que estaba creciendo hacia algún sitio, aunque no sé bien hacia donde.

El 22 de noviembre se inaugurará en Londres la exposición "Poetry Illustrated". Dicha muestra, comisariada por Silvia Terrón, formará parte de la programación del Spain NOW! Pop-up Space en The Soho Gallery (121-125 Charing Cross Road, London WC2H OEW).

Tres poetas, tres ilustradores. Pilar Adón / Fidel Martínez, Julián Cañizares Mata / Pablo Gallo y Ana Gorría / yo misma. Aquí tenéis un pequeño detalle de nuestra obra: "Las voladoras".

Buscando documentación para un proyecto, me he reencontrado con los trabajos de los ilustradores Alice y Martin Provensen (tenemos un par de libros suyos encontrados en tiendas de segunda mano) y he descubierto a Art Seiden. Y ésto. Maravillas.

Una parte de la exposición "Separar por Colores" que se pudo ver en Sevilla hace un par de años se expondrá en el Espacio Infame de Barcelona. Con motivo de aquella muestra, la Diputación de Sevilla y la editorial Sins Entido publicaron el catálogo "Sonia Pulido. Separar por colores".

En esta exposición podréis ver una selección de ilustraciones de los últimos años. Se muestran únicamente originales, sin ninguna intervención digital. Es decir, se enseña sólo una parte del proceso, la más íntima y directa.

Y este fin de semana es la última oportunidad para ver la expo "Amores difíciles" de Blanca Hernández y Pep Brocal, en la galería Miscelanea.

A selection of the "Separar por Colores" exhibition which could be seen in Sevilla a couple of years ago will now be exposed in Barcelona. Based on this exposition, the Diputación de Sevilla and the publisher Sins Entido produced the catalogue "Sonia Pulido. Separar por colores".

In this exhibition one can see a selection of illustrations of the last years. There will be shown only original drawings, without any digital intervention. I.e. one will see just a fraction of the process, the most intimate and direct one.

And this weekend you have the last chance to see the exhibition "Trouble loves" of Blanca Hernández y Pep Brocal, in the gallery Miscelanea.

And until october 30th, in the gallery Mutt, you can see "Dead for love" of Agente Morillas.

La camisa del niño y de los calcetines de la niña están inspirados en los estampados de rayas de Paul Smith. Me gustan tanto, tanto ;-)
Es algo que tengo pendiente, diseñar estampados. Algún día.

Esta planta comenzó a crecer por su cuenta en una maceta y ahora ha florecido. Dos preciosas flores rojas, a la espera de que abran sus compañeras.
Y el superguardián de las plantas.

Me gustan mucho los diseños textiles de Maija Louekari.
Y los diseños de Madame Grès. Casi esculturas.

Esta ilustración es para la editorial de la Revista Rockdelux. Siempre me pasa, cuando tengo que hacer una ilustración sobre una persona a la que admiro, me cuesta horrores. Pero al final, ha salido, más o menos como tenía en mente.

Y escucho su disco, "Let England Shake" una y otra vez y una y otra vez y ...
Además los videos son estupendos.

Durante estos días también le he estado dando vueltas al blog, que colgar, hacia donde quiero que vaya ... Aquí están los objetivos:

Abrirlo todavía un poco más. Enseñar lo que me sorprende, lo que me gusta, lo que me rodea cada día. Seguir colgando trabajos, por supuesto, pero también otras cosas.
Intentar ser más constante con los posts :P
Cambiarle un poco la cara, un diseño nuevo.

Mmm... No son demasiados ;-)

Que las energías de las vacaciones duren!

Ya de vuelta de las vacaciones. Unas semanas viendo a los amigos, a la familia, descansando. Ha sido un año intenso y necesitábamos unos días campestres. Y han sido maravillosos.

Tenía que diseñar una camiseta para su colección que se presentaría en el Festival Theater-Formen de Hannover. Y hace unos días me llegó una caja con el resultado! Mi querida Eva estampada en unas refrescantes camisetas verde lima. Para el y para ella. Muchas gracias, Gion y Stéphane por la invitación y por todo! Ha sido un placer ;-)

A few months ago, Stéphane and Gion invited me to participate in their project: T-shirt Monthly. I had to design a shirt for their collection which will be presented at the Festival Theater-Formen Hannover. And a few days ago I received a box with the result! My dear Eva printed in a soft lime green T-shirt. For him and her. Thank you very much, Gion and Stéphane for the invitation and for all! It was a pleasure ;-)

Maravillosas colaboraciones: David B, Jean-Luc Coudray, Adrien Demont, (mi idolatrada) Anke Feuchtenberger, Carlos Nine, Vincent Perriot, Stefano Ricci, Tobias Schalken, Gabriel Schemoul, Samuel Stento, Sergio Toppi y Antoine y Guillaume Trouillard. Participo con las páginas de La Muerte y la Doncella, que hice para ellos. Ha quedado preciosa. La edición es estupenda, ¡gracias Guillaume por invitarme a participar!!!

Y aunque hace un frío casi polar, los cactus de la terraza han florecido. Flores en las faldas, flores en los brazos y flores en las macetas. Preprimavera!
